Advertising
CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a Raptive (“Raptive”) is a service provider of this Site for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Raptive will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Raptive’s data usage, click here: https://raptive.com/creator-advertising-privacy-statement
Advertising on this Site is personalised in some regions, which means advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to build a profile of your interests and show you advertisements they consider relevant. Under California law and comparable laws in several other US states, this activity may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even though no money changes hands for your data. See Your Privacy Rights below for how to opt out.
Information We Collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are read, how long people stay, what browser and device they use, and approximate location at country or city level. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process an identifier associated with your device.
Google’s own privacy policy explains how Google handles this data: policies.google.com/privacy. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising data
As described above, Raptive and its advertising partners collect data through this Site. This can include your IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies. The full detail is set out in Raptive’s statement linked above.
Tools on this Site
The Schengen Calculator stores your trip dates locally in your own browser. That data stays on your device, is not sent to our servers, and is not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser storage deletes it.
The Europe Travel Planner processes your passport and destination selections in your browser as you use it. Those selections are not saved to a server, not linked to you, and not shared. The Schengen map collects nothing at all — it simply displays country information you click on.
Contact
If you email us or use a contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address, and message. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else.
Cookies
This Site uses cookies for analytics, advertising, and to remember your preferences. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Affiliate Links
Some links on this Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link typically sets a cookie in your browser that allows the partner to attribute the sale to us. Our current affiliate partners include:
- iVisa — travel authorisation and visa application services
- SafetyWing — travel medical insurance
- Nomad eSIM — international mobile data
Affiliate partnerships do not influence our editorial conclusions. Where a page carries an affiliate link, we say so on that page.
Third-Party Services
This Site links to third-party websites, and some pages load resources from third parties in order to function. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external site or service. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding personal information collected through this Site:
- The right to know what personal information is collected about you, where it came from, why it is collected, and who it is shared with.
- The right to delete personal information collected about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for personalised advertising.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
How to opt out of personalised advertising
Once advertising goes live on this Site, our advertising partner provides an opt-out control for the sale or sharing of your personal information — look for a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or a privacy preferences option in the Site footer or consent banner. Until that is in place, email hello@schengentraveler.com and we will action your request directly.
Once advertising goes live, this Site will honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, it is treated as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. Note that GPC is a per-browser and per-device setting — you will need to enable it separately on each browser and device you use.
You can find out more and enable it at globalprivacycontrol.org.
How to exercise your other rights
Email hello@schengentraveler.com with the request you would like to make. We may need to ask for information to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you also have rights under the GDPR and equivalent laws, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. Where we rely on consent — including for advertising and analytics cookies — you may withdraw that consent at any time through the consent banner or privacy preferences link on the Site. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information collected through this Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email hello@schengentraveler.com and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date at the top.

By accessing or using schengentraveler.com (the “Site”), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Consent to Data Collection
These Terms of Use incorporate the Privacy Policy above, which discloses how we, our vendors, and our service providers collect and use data when you use the Site. You hereby consent to the collection and use of data by us, our vendors, and our service providers as described in the Privacy Policy, including any links to other policies within it. You can revoke this consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions in the Privacy Policy or by using the privacy preferences link provided on the Site.
Limitations on Liability
YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE, OR OUR VENDORS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS (COLLECTIVELY, “WE” OR “US”), SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SITE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, STATUTE, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT THE PARTIES HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH DAMAGE, AND EVEN IF A REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
No Professional Advice
The Site publishes general information about travel and entry requirements. It does not provide legal, immigration, financial, or medical advice, and nothing on the Site should be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional or from the official government sources that set these rules. Entry requirements change frequently and without notice. You are responsible for verifying current requirements with the relevant government authority before you travel.
